The Mainstreet Theatre

Located at 807 Franklin Street, Michigan City, Indiana, The Mainstreet Theatre offers an intimate setting with reminiscences of the past and conveniences of the present. With its bright green roll-up awning, leaded glass on the facade, tin ceilings, and turn-of-the-century-style lighting fixtures and fans, the building reflects its past. But with modern restrooms, handicap accessibility, central air conditioning--all part of recent renovations--the theatre is modern and comfortable.

The Mainstreet Theatre is an intimate space, 130 seats, which assures every patron a seat no further than 12 rows from the front. Convenient parking is also an amenity for cars and busses.

The Mainstreet Theatre is located near shopping and outlet malls, several fine restaurants, and nearby historic sites such as the Barker Mansion, Old Lighthouse Museum, and the restored Mainstreet Plaza downtown. Also, the Washington Park & Zoo, a beautiful beach, the Dunes National Lakeshore, bed and breakfast inns and the Blue Chip Casino Riverboat.

We look forward to offering you and your group a wonderful experience! With all the amenities available to you and your family, planning an evening at the theatre--or a mini-vacation for the family--is all within your reach.
